Volunteering for The Greatest Race is a very rewarding experience. You will immediately find that everyone involved is working toward ONE GOAL: to help children in Maine and their families challenged with illnesses. All of your efforts toward this goal generate and deliver funds exclusively to The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center. You will be refreshed to find that volunteers for The Greatest Race exhibit a priority to care first and then offer help. Thus, The Greatest Race has been formed.

The operational structure of The Greatest Race one of organizational simplicity and execution directed by volunteers. The Greatest Race volunteers welcome you to contribute in any way you can. Many volunteers find that they can offer specific hours of service. Others find it more appealing to contribute to specific planning or execution of events. These events include:
