2006 Highlights Helping Maine Children

Developers Note
The Greatest Race!  When Charles & Joanne Katis approached me about donating a website and hosting to this event I gladly agreed.  I had know idea what the Greatest Race was or how it might impact so many people.  As content began to come together as a website, I still was only piecing together bits and pieces without ever taking the time to read anything that was being sent.  This years Greatest Race is over, Little League Practice and tournaments took up most of my summer and I was unfortunately conflicted with schedule to attend the luncheon, the gala auction, or even the race itself.  I heard they were all a great success.

Charles & Joanne kept telling me how important my contribution was and what a difference it made.  Joanne came up with the great idea of adding a slide show to the website to show people what the race was all about.  As usual, I started piecing together the different parts to create the slide show you are about to view.  It wasn't until I previewed the slide show for the first time that I realized that as a group, we had all made a difference.  That I was part of something that could change forever the life of a child in need of help from the Barbara Bush Children's hospital.  If you missed out on this year's event, you just might want to consider helping out next year.  It is a great feeling knowing you made a difference!

Special Acknowledgement
The Greatest Race would like to acknowledge the contributions of C.A. Smith Photography, Kristen Phillips Photography, and Tim Janis for use of his song "Where Dreams Begin" from his Coastal America CD
