Enjoy a formal evening with VIP dignitaries beginning with a cocktail reception followed by silent and live auctions at The Colony Hotel, Kennebunkport.

THE GREATEST RACE – LUNCHEON
The Cape Arundel Inn 11:30 a.m.

Board a trolley with special destination to The Cape Arundel Inn for a four-course luncheon.  Special guest speakers include Tyler and Tim Karu, authors of “Henry and the White Wolf” - a tale of strength, hope, and dignity in the face of overwhelming odds.   The teen authors wrote the book to help children undergoing hospitalization and chemotherapy.  Tickets limited.  $60/person (tax deductible).  Tickets may be purchased at Ocean National Bank branch offices in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport.  For more information, contact Kim Davis  985-0722.

THE GREATEST RACE – KAYAK/CANOE RACE
Races begin at 8:30 a.m.

Participate in a sanctioned kayak and canoe race on the scenic course of the upper basin of the Kennebunk River.  Prizes awarded to the top 3 finishers of each class. Once the 4+ mile race is complete, the day is left to explore the quaint shops, galleries and dine at the restaurants in the villages of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport.  Race Registration Fee: $15/participant includes commemorative t-shirt.  Registration forms available at local merchants and online at www.thegreatestrace.org.
