lives of children and their families through excellence in pediatric care,
research, and education. From the state-of-the-art child-sized hospital
equipment and specialty programs, to the spacious play areas, Maine’s only

CharlieMy world stopped the day Charlie collapsed. Our bright, energetic 18 month-old son was now lying lifeless. Emergency response paramedics administered CPR as they rushed Charlie to the Southern Maine Medical Center then on to The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.
DrewNovember 22, 2004 is a day that will live in infamy for the Stevens Family Household. Drew was diagnosed with Type 1 Insulin Dependent Diabetes at age 2. We felt like deer caught in the headlights! We were in total disbelief because we had no family history of the disease. We had three intensive days at Maine Medical Center’s Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital |
