The Greatest Race is offering you an opportunity to become an active partner in the first annual event. Your financial support provides healthcare for Maine children in the form of research, development of treatments, psychosocial support, and charity care for those families in need. Sponsorship of The Greatest Race helps to ensure that these essential healthcare treatments can continue and be expanded so that all children in Maine have access to quality medical care close to home. Please know that your tax deductible contribution is essential and that all funds generated will be used to benefit the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center. Volunteering for The Greatest Race is a very rewarding experience. You will immediately find that everyone involved is working toward ONE GOAL: to help children in Maine and their families challenged with illnesses. All of your efforts toward this goal generate and deliver funds exclusively to The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center. You will be refreshed to find that volunteers for The Greatest Race exhibit a priority to care first and then offer help. Thus, The Greatest Race has been formed.

The operational structure of The Greatest Race one of organizational simplicity and execution directed by volunteers. The Greatest Race volunteers welcome you to contribute in any way you can. Many volunteers find that they can offer specific hours of service. Others find it more appealing to contribute to specific planning or execution of events.
